Holodia

Swiss VR fitness company based in Zurich, maker of Holofit, a subscription app that turns rowing machines, bikes, ellipticals and bodyweight workouts into virtual journeys.

Holodia is a Swiss company headquartered in Zurich that makes software for VR fitness. It publishes under the name Holodia SA, and its founders come from France, Denmark and Serbia.

Its only product line is Holofit, a VR workout app that connects to rowing machines, exercise bikes and ellipticals and turns a cardio session into a trip through virtual worlds. Bluetooth FTMS machines connect directly, while other bikes and ellipticals need a cadence sensor. A Freestyle mode adds running, rowing, cycling, skiing and boxing-style workouts that need no equipment at all.

Holofit was first used in gyms and other business settings before it reached the official Quest store in January 2021. Today it is a subscription service on the Meta Horizon Store, where the latest version runs on Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3 and Quest 3S, and it is also listed on the PICO Store. Plans cost $11.99 a month or $83.99 a year, with a seven-day free trial. The studio keeps adding worlds, story events and monthly challenges, and its multiplayer lets members train with or race against each other.
