Greener Games
Independent studio founded by John Carline that makes calm, nature-focused VR, including Nature Treks VR, Nature Treks: Together and Harmony.
Greener Games is an independent VR studio founded by artist John Carline, who serves as its creative director. The studio focuses on calm, restorative virtual worlds built around nature, and it presents its work as wellbeing experiences rather than medical treatment. Before going independent, Carline worked as a lead artist at The Creative Assembly and as a lead environment artist at Pandemic Studios.
Its main titles are:
- Nature Treks VR, a relaxing nature experience on Steam and the Meta Horizon Store. The studio says it has sold more than 300,000 copies.
- Nature Treks: Together, a shared multiplayer world for PC VR that entered Early Access on Steam in December 2021.
- Harmony, a personal VR sanctuary that is the studio's current focus.
The studio also explores research, clinical and licensing partnerships for its nature experiences.
