We Are One is a puzzle shooter from Flat Head Studio, published by Fast Travel Games, that also falls under action and adventure and puzzle. Its twist is that you fight alongside recordings of yourself. It came to the Meta Horizon Store on June 1, 2023.
How it plays
Each level starts with you recording a sequence of actions. That recording becomes a clone that repeats your moves while you play the next loop, so over several passes you build a small squad made entirely of yourself. Clones can hand weapons to one another, and you need to find good firing angles and dodge incoming shots while everything plays out.
Planning and precise timing matter more than fast reflexes, which the developer says makes it suitable both for experienced VR players and for newcomers.
- A campaign of 50 levels.
- Online leaderboards.
- A Level Creator for building your own challenges and sharing them online.
- A growing list of community-made levels to browse.
The story pits nature against industry: a robot army is threatening a peaceful world painted in a watercolor style, and you fight through lush forests before reaching a much bleaker wasteland.
Comfort
Meta rates We Are One as comfortable for most people. It supports standing and room-scale play with controllers.
