Subspace Hunter

Subspace Hunter is an action combat game from XuKing Studio, published by SpatialXR. Through training and fights you work toward becoming a qualified "Subspace hunter", learning to read different enemies and change your tactics to beat them. It arrived on the Meta Horizon Store on February 9, 2024, as an early access title.

How it plays

Combat draws on three tools: swords, magic and firearms. You can combine them however you like to build your own fighting style, and each enemy type fights differently, so you need to watch and adapt.

• Melee: use your blade to block and parry attacks, knock them back, and even cut down incoming bullets and orbs.
• Hand tracking: the full game can be played with hand tracking. Skills are triggered by recognizing specific hand gestures, and you can still use blades and guns at the same time.
• Controllers: Touch controllers are supported as well if you prefer buttons.

The store description is short and focuses on the combat systems; it says little about levels, story or how long the game is. As an early access release, its content may still change.

Comfort

Meta rates it as comfortable for most people. It supports room-scale play and is played with Touch controllers or hand tracking.
