HandTastic

HandTastic is a free multiplayer action party game from Costo Games. You play as small, curious creatures with capsule-shaped bodies and long, lively arms, and you get around by grabbing, climbing and jumping. It came out on the Meta Horizon Store on October 25, 2024.

How it plays

Movement is the heart of the game. You haul yourself over obstacles with your arms and leap between platforms across a set of whimsical maps built for competition. Matches are races and survival rounds: reach the finish line first, or be the last one still in the game.

The store genres also tag it as a platformer, fighting, arcade and hangout game, which fits the tone: bright visuals, upbeat music and plenty of silly moments.

Multiplayer

Matches are played online against other people. Before a round you gather in a social lobby with a spaceship theme, where you can group up with friends, plan and jump into games together. The store lists single-user, co-op and multiplayer modes, and an internet connection is required.

Comfort

Meta rates HandTastic as moderate, meaning comfortable for some people. Climbing and jumping with your arms can cause motion sickness in VR for some players. It supports standing and room-scale play. Despite the name, it uses controllers; hand tracking is not listed.
