A free climbing game for Quest inspired by Indiana Jones, where you escape a deep temple by gripping slippery rocks while facing obstacles and surprises.
Temple K is a climbing action and adventure game from Immersion Imagery (Richard), made as a passion project. In a nod to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, you begin at the base of a huge temple carrying a bag of gold, and the only exit is a long climb upward. It is distributed through SideQuest, where it was first listed in December 2019.
How it plays
You climb by gripping with the trigger buttons on your controllers. The rocks are slippery and the climb is dangerous, and the route throws obstacles and a few hidden surprises at you. The developer lists vertigo and aching arms as part of the challenge, along with a dark, spooky atmosphere and creepy crawlies.
The game is free, and the developer asks players who get some fun out of it to consider a donation to support further work. Version 1.1.0 addressed performance problems and bugs, and the developer says the game has been optimized for Quest.
Comfort
SideQuest rates comfort as comfortable, but the developer warns that players who are afraid of heights, the dark or creepy crawlies may want to skip it.
