Escape Legacy is an adventure escape-room game from Storming Tech. Your character is Erica, retracing the adventurous trail of her grandfather, collecting Ancient Scrolls while working your way toward the escape door in each area. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on April 12, 2021.
How it plays
Each level is a set of rooms filled with puzzles and riddles, hidden items and clues, and you have to get out before time runs out. The developer pitches it as a hands-on alternative to old-style casual escape rooms and point-and-click games: you are physically in the room.
- 10 levels spread over more than 80 rooms
- more than 10 hours of play, according to the developer
- puzzles and item placement that change each time you play
- an inventory system for the things you find
- a scoring system with global scoreboards
Progress is stored locally on the headset, and the developer advises backing it up before uninstalling.
Comfort
Movement options include smooth locomotion, teleport and room-scale, and you can play sitting, standing or room-scale with controllers. Teleport is the gentler choice if you are prone to motion sickness in VR.
