Former Meta-owned studio in Foster City, California, that made the Asgard's Wrath VR games. Meta closed it in January 2026.
Sanzaru Games, Inc. was a studio in Foster City, California, founded in 2006. It first became known for console work such as Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time before moving into VR.
For Oculus Studios it developed Asgard's Wrath (2019) for the Rift and the much larger standalone sequel Asgard's Wrath 2 (2023) for Meta Quest. Facebook (now Meta) acquired the studio in February 2020.
Meta closed Sanzaru on January 13, 2026, as part of cuts at Reality Labs. Asgard's Wrath 2 remains on sale on the Meta Horizon Store. Former Sanzaru staff formed a new studio, Sneaky Devil Studios, in May 2026.
