Kinetic Games is an independent game studio in Southampton, England, founded in 2020 and led by Daniel Knight. It develops and publishes Phasmophobia, a co-op psychological horror game about investigating haunted locations.

Phasmophobia entered early access on Steam on September 18, 2020, with optional VR support, and quickly became one of that year's surprise hits. It was the best-selling game on Steam for several weeks in the fall of 2020, won Best Debut Game at The Game Awards 2020, and earned the studio Best Debut at the 2021 Game Developers Choice Awards. Versions for PlayStation 5, with PlayStation VR2 support, and Xbox Series X|S joined early access on October 29, 2024. In October 2026 the studio said the game had passed 30 million sales across PC and consoles.

The team remains small and independent. In 2026 it launched Kinetic Publishing, a label that helps other independent developers release their games, and a Phasmophobia film adaptation has been reported in development at Blumhouse.
