How it plays
The piece is split into three chapters and plays out like an animated film you watch from inside. Scenes are built as miniature dioramas that turn and shift around you, and you follow Gloomy, a zombie boy, and Nena, a human girl, whose forbidden love may be the last bit of hope left in their world. The tone is wistful and warm rather than scary.
The store page lists a premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and 2019 awards from the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and SXSW.
