Baba Yaga

Baba Yaga is an interactive fairytale and narrative adventure from Baobab Studios, with Jennifer Hudson as executive producer. It runs about 27 minutes and has more than one ending, depending on the choices you make. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on January 14, 2021.

How it plays

You are the main character. Your mother, the chief of your village, falls gravely ill, and you and your sister Magda decide to do what nobody dares: go into the forest, learn its secrets and ask the witch Baba Yaga for a cure. Baba Yaga is neither purely good nor purely evil; she uses her powers to guard the forest.

The studio pitches it as a family-friendly story about courage and confronting what scares you. Your decisions along the way change how it ends, so a second run can play out differently.

The voice cast includes Kate Winslet as the witch, Daisy Ridley as your sister Magda, Jennifer Hudson as the voice of the forest and Glenn Close as the village chief.
