Samsung's first Android XR smart glasses have surfaced in more detail. On October 13, 2026, Android Authority relayed an exclusive leak from SammyGuru, complete with screenshots, that fills in specs and styles Samsung has not yet shared. Google and Samsung have teased the glasses several times, and they were shown in person at Samsung's Unpacked event in July.
What the leak claims
- No display: earlier July leaks described audio-and-camera glasses, similar in concept to Ray-Ban Meta, rather than glasses with a built-in screen
- Chip: Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1, with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage
- Camera: 12MP, recording 3K video at 30fps
- Battery: a claimed 9 hours, with the charging case adding up to 72 hours
- Audio: two speakers per temple and four microphones for talking to Gemini
- Weight: about 41 grams, though the leak does not say which frame that applies to
Two eyewear partners
The glasses are being designed with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. The leak shows three Warby Parker shapes (wayfarer, rounded and cat-eye) in darker colors such as black, brown and green, with ten frame and tint combinations in total. Gentle Monster's three designs, a blocky square and two ovals, add lighter shades such as light gray, cream and pale lilac.
Timing and what to watch
Android Authority says a launch is expected in November but does not name a source for that timing, and Samsung has announced neither a date nor a price. Separately, Droid Life reports that Google Play Services version 26.42, rolling out since October 26, lists a single change: phones can now connect to Android XR glasses. That suggests the software groundwork is in place. Reports also say Samsung may tie the glasses to Galaxy Watch features through a Samsung phone; that too is unconfirmed.
What it means
If the leak holds up, Samsung's glasses would compete directly with Meta's camera glasses rather than with headsets such as Samsung's own Galaxy XR. They would also widen Android XR beyond headsets and tethered glasses. Until Samsung makes an announcement, treat all specs, prices and dates as provisional.
