Omega Pilot is a sports racing game with a social side, from XOCUS. You race ships from a first-person cockpit view, trying to post the fastest times. It came to the Meta Horizon Store on May 23, 2022.
How it plays
The focus is on improving your times and beating other pilots. Races are seen from inside the cockpit, which the developer pairs with detailed interiors and high-quality graphics.
- 33 tracks to race on.
- 26 ship designs to choose from.
- Gloves you unlock by using your abilities.
- Asynchronous multiplayer that compares your results with other pilots.
- Real-time multiplayer races.
- Regular tournaments with prizes, according to the developer.
The developer also promises ongoing content updates. The store lists Omega Pilot as single-user even though the description mentions both asynchronous and real-time multiplayer; either way, an internet connection is required.
Comfort
Meta rates Omega Pilot moderate, meaning it is comfortable for some people. High-speed racing can trigger motion sickness in some players, so take breaks. It supports seated play with controllers.
