DAVIGO

DAVIGO is an asymmetric VR-versus-PC action game from Davigo Studio. The VR player becomes a giant, while one to four players on PC fight back as tiny knights, all driven by physics. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on November 29, 2023, and is listed as early access.

How it plays

As the giant, your whole body is the weapon. You slam the ground, tear trees and boulders out of the earth and hurl anything you can grab to wipe out the knights.

• Seven official maps, ranging from ALTAR, a fiery sacrificial pit, to SUMMIT, a bleak snow-covered mountaintop
• Custom maps from other players through mod.io, made with the DAVIGO Map Editor
• Four modes: BRAWL, a fight to the death; TOWER and CAPTURE, which add side objectives; and CLASSIC, a remake of the DAVIGO Alpha with a limited arsenal

Multiplayer

You cannot play alone. DAVIGO needs an internet connection and at least one other person joining your game on PC. PC players fight as knights using the free DAVIGO Knight's Pass, which the developer offers on its website. Matches support one VR player against up to four PC players.

Comfort

Meta gives it a moderate comfort rating, so it will not suit everyone. You can play standing or room-scale, with controllers. Expect a lot of reaching, crouching and throwing.
