HereSphere is a VR video player for Quest focused on accurate stereoscopic playback, with lens correction, autofocus depth and a tag-based library.
HereSphere VR Video Player is a media and video app from HereSphere LLC built to make stereoscopic VR video look more natural. Its focus is precise projection and correction rather than a flashy interface. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since August 1, 2023.
What you can do
HereSphere can project equirectangular and fisheye footage accurately and fix common problems in VR recordings: lens distortion, misaligned stereo cameras, stitching seams and other production errors. It can also adapt the image to your IPD and to the position and angle of your head. Its autofocus depth feature targets the double vision many people notice when they turn their head while watching 3D VR video.
- Local playback, or streaming from DLNA servers, SMB shares or the web browser.
- A tagging system with timestamps, library search, playlists and auto-seek that jumps straight to tagged moments.
- Image sharpening and detailed color controls.
- Keyframed settings, so different moments in a video can load different values automatically.
- Several flat videos playing at once, with sound following whichever screen is in front of you.
- External subtitles in SRT, SSA and ASS formats, with depth adjusted automatically in VR videos.
This is a tool for people with their own VR video libraries who care about getting the image right, and it rewards time spent in the settings.
Comfort
HereSphere supports sitting and standing use; room-scale is not listed. It works with Touch controllers.
