Ultimate Air Hockey VR is a sports and simulation game developed by SA-WD and published by Fragments World. It recreates arcade air hockey with physics meant to feel like the real thing, right down to the thud of the puck sliding across the table. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on June 28, 2021.
How it plays
You hold a paddle, guard your goal and try to slip the puck past your opponent with sharp angles and quick shots. Matches can be played alone against an AI opponent when nobody else is around.
- Cosmetic paddles and pucks in different colors, patterns and designs
- Arenas that range from sunny beaches to futuristic airships
- An MR mode that places the table in your own living room using mixed reality
Multiplayer
Multiplayer supports up to four players, so you can challenge friends and settle who is the best at the table. The store lists multiplayer and co-op next to single-player.
Comfort
Meta gives it a moderate comfort rating. It supports seated, standing and room-scale play and is played with controllers. Air hockey keeps you in one spot at the table, so movement is limited to your arms and upper body.
