The Heist VR

The Heist VR is a free arcade shooter and action game from WonderSense Games. You play a seasoned thief who breaks into three different locations and tries to get away with the money. It came out on the Meta Horizon Store on July 8, 2022.

How it plays

Every job follows the same shape. You get inside, set a bomb against an armored door and then hold your ground while the police move in. Once the charge goes off, you force your way through the opening and escape with the cash.

The developer pitches The Heist VR as a short and fast first-person shooter, so expect a compact game made for quick sessions rather than a long campaign. The store text does not mention a story mode, upgrades or online play, and the listing marks it as a single-player game. With three locations in total, it suits players who want a straightforward shootout without a big time commitment.

Because it is free, it is also an easy pick if you just want to try VR gunplay against waves of police before buying a bigger shooter.

Comfort

It supports sitting and standing play, using motion controllers. Since much of the action is about holding a position, you can stay mostly in one spot while you fight.
