Hand Physics Lab is a physics puzzle game for Meta Quest where you clear over 80 hands-on challenges using hand tracking, Touch controllers or both.
Hand Physics Lab is a puzzle game developed by Dennys Kuhnert and published by Holonautic. It is built around physical interaction: your hands and individual fingers grab, push and poke objects that react with physics, and that interaction is the whole game. It arrived on the Meta Horizon Store on April 1, 2021.
How it plays
You work through more than 80 puzzles and short experiences, each asking you to do something specific with your hands. Clearing them unlocks several playgrounds with no task at all, just room to draw, build and play around.
- Paint eggs with your fingertips
- Stack cubes into towers
- Use magnets and telekinesis
- Shake hands with a copy of yourself
- Pet a virtual cat
Everything works with hand tracking, with Touch controllers, or with a mix of both. The developer warns that hand tracking quality depends heavily on the lighting in your room, and the game includes in-game tips on setting up your space so the headset can see your hands clearly.
Comfort
Meta rates it as comfortable for most people. Hand Physics Lab supports sitting, standing and room-scale play with controllers or hand tracking.
