A free pre-alpha demo of a fast VR sports game where you grapple, boost and jump through levels collecting energy orbs against the clock.
Ghost League is a fast-paced sports game from Ghost League, and this free pre-alpha demo gives a first look at its movement and racing. It was first listed on SideQuest in May 2020 as part of the team's push toward a Kickstarter campaign.
How it plays
You fling yourself through levels with grappling hooks, boost packs, jumps, climbing and running, and you can throw teleport grenades to cover ground. In the racing mode, the aim is to collect every energy orb and activate every checkpoint in the shortest time. The route you choose changes both the difficulty and your time, and beating the developers' best score earns the title of Ghost.
Everything runs on energy. Every action spends some, and you recharge at checkpoints, with charge bombs or by picking up orbs. Running out ends the run.
- Single-player demo with two levels and a lobby for practice
- Grappling hooks, boost packs and power grenades
- Energy management at the core of the game
- Racing mode, with multiplayer races and a battle royale mode planned for the full game
Comfort
SideQuest rates the comfort level as intense, which matches the high-speed swinging and boosting. Newer players may want to read about motion sickness in VR first.
