FPS Enhanced Reality

FPS Enhanced Reality is a mixed reality shooter and action game from VirtualGo LLC in which soldiers, robots and drones break into your real home. Your walls, furniture and hallways become the map. It came out on the Meta Horizon Store on November 18, 2022.

How it plays

Before you fight, the game needs to know your space. You can pick between two scanning methods:

• Built-in scanner (Quest 3 and 3S only): a quick, experimental scan of a room so you can start playing fast. It supports Basic Survival.
• Meta Scene system: uses the room data already stored on your headset. Enemies use your real furniture as cover, multi-room play becomes possible, and Mission Mode and the advanced modes open up. Better room scans give better results.

There are four game modes, including endless Survival and goal-based challenges. Mission Mode offers more than 12 missions that unlock new gear, and the arsenal tops 20 weapons, from tactical rifles and miniguns to a flamethrower that sets your virtual furniture on fire, with effects and destruction throughout.

Setup tips from the developer: when you build your Meta Scene, remove any doors that lead outside your play area so enemies spawn correctly, and scan every room so they link up. If something goes wrong, restart the headset, clear the Guardian history and scan again. The game is made by a single developer, with support on Discord.

Comfort

Meta rates FPS Enhanced Reality comfortable for most people. It supports room-scale play only, using motion controllers. Because you move through your actual home, clear away anything you could trip over.
