Arizona Sunshine®

Arizona Sunshine is a zombie shooter from Vertigo Games, rebuilt to run standalone on Quest headsets. After catching a human voice on the radio, you head out into the scorching, zombie-filled Arizona wilderness in search of other survivors. It arrived on the Meta Horizon Store on December 5, 2019.

How it plays

You aim and reload with real hand movements, and ammo and consumables are scarce, so scavenging is part of every fight. The action moves through deserts, canyons and mines that you can explore at your own pace.

• A full story campaign
• More than 25 weapons handled with physical motions
• Horde mode, with the free Horde updates included
• Large outdoor and underground areas to explore

Multiplayer

Co-op for up to four players in the campaign and Horde mode used to be a headline feature. The store page now states that co-op and multiplayer modes stopped being available on July 1, 2025, so treat it as a single-player game.

Comfort

Meta rates it comfortable for most people. You can play standing or room-scale, with controllers.
