Berlin indie studio founded in 2016 that pioneered VR photogrammetry and makes Puzzling Places, the 3D jigsaw game on Quest, PS VR2, Pico and Steam.
Realities.io is a small independent studio based in Berlin, Germany, with an office in San Mateo, California. It was founded in 2016 and first specialised in photorealistic 3D scans of real places that people could explore in VR.
Its best-known game is Puzzling Places, a 3D jigsaw puzzle built from photogrammetry scans. It launched on Quest in 2021 and later came to PlayStation VR, PlayStation VR2, Pico, Apple Vision Pro and, in 2026, Steam, where it also plays on flat screens. The studio says the game has reached about 400,000 VR players.
Realities.io develops and publishes its own games.
