Evolve Launcher is a free custom home launcher for Quest and PICO headsets that adds app categories, playtime stats, backups and themes.
Evolve Launcher is a replacement app launcher, an app for productivity from JarJarBlinkz. It gives you a customizable grid of your installed apps along with organization, tracking and system tools. It is distributed through SideQuest, where it was first listed in May 2026.
What you can do
- App grid: resize icons, filter by app or package name as you type, open apps with one tap and hide the ones you never use.
- Categories: create, rename and delete categories, move many apps at once in Edit Mode, see category badges on icons and switch with a category bar.
- Playtime tracking: usage stats by day, week, month and all time, a most-played leaderboard, an indicator for the app you are using and per-app stats. This needs permissions granted in Settings, and the data can be reset.
- Backup and restore: export settings and categories to a JSON file and import them on the same or another device.
- Looks: six built-in backgrounds, your own images, adjustable opacity and a see-through option.
- System info: device model, Android version, RAM, storage, battery, Wi-Fi signal and IP address.
- Quick settings: a volume slider opened by long-pressing the settings gear.
- Other: optional auto-start at boot and an automatic refresh when apps are installed or removed.
