Free 1-to-4 player VR fantasy roguelite from E McNeill featuring momentum-based swordplay, archery, and gesture-cast magic on Meta Quest and SteamVR.
IRONSTRIKE is a co-op fantasy roguelite action game developed and published by indie VR creator E McNeill. Available free on the Meta Horizon Store and on SteamVR, it teams up to four players—or solo adventurers—to battle across open fantasy realms and rescue fallen gods using physical melee weapons, bows and gesture-drawn magic.
Combat, magic and roguelite builds
Instead of button-mashed melee or cramped dungeon corridors, IRONSTRIKE emphasizes weapon weight, parrying and open-air battlefields such as the sunlit hills of Lucros Vale and the misty groves of Centinel Wood:
- Physics-driven melee and ranged combat: Wield swords, shields, polearms, crossbows, bows, and hand-to-hand gauntlets, claws and katars, where swing momentum and parrying angles matter.
- Gestural spellcasting: Trace arcane patterns in the air with your hands to hurl fire, call down lightning, curse enemies or buff teammates mid-battle.
- Roguelite run progression: Draft weapon enchantments, armor upgrades, mobility perks and divine blessings after each encounter to shape tank, archer or battle-mage builds.
Comfort and multiplayer
Meta rates IRONSTRIKE as Moderate comfort and supports seated, standing and room-scale play with Touch controllers. Runs scale smoothly from solo play up to four-player online co-op.
