Strategy games take advantage of VR by turning maps and boards into physical objects. You can lean over a miniature battlefield, pick up pieces, roll dice by hand and look at the action from any angle.

Many VR strategy titles are turn-based, which makes them relaxed and comfortable: you can play seated, there is little or no artificial movement, and sessions are easy to pause. Tabletop-style games are especially popular for online co-op, since they recreate the feeling of sitting around a table with friends.

Look for cross-play between headsets and other devices, hand tracking support, and mixed reality modes that place the board on your real table.
