Pillow is a fitness and health app developed by Pillow Inc and published by Pillow Inc, designed to be used while you lie down. It turns your bedroom into a calm mixed reality space with four interactive "dreams" to wind down with, alone or with a friend. The developer says no other immersive app is built for lying down. It came to the Meta Horizon Store on November 9, 2023.
What you can do
- Stargaze: your ceiling becomes a night sky. Pull any of the 88 constellations down to hear its mythology, or treat the sky as a soundbath and make music with the stars.
- Fish: cast a line upward into a pond on your ceiling and reel in voice messages left by other players. The ponds change every day.
- Meditate: a breath-tracked session where your breathing shapes the world around you.
- Play: interactive bedtime stories where your choices lead to one of hundreds of different endings.
The developer says Pillow receives regular free content updates.
Multiplayer
All four dreams can be played solo or in two-player co-op. You can also invite a friend to virtually lie next to you, so the two of you unwind side by side in a shared mixed reality space.
Comfort
Meta rates Pillow as comfortable for most people. The store lists sitting play only, and you can use controllers and hand tracking. Although Meta lists sitting as the play mode, the app is built for lying in bed.
