MechUp is a free early access VR game where you build a mech from collected parts, fight giant bosses and fuse mechs with a friend in co-op.
MechUp is a free mech action game from DigiEden Studio in which you collect parts, assemble a giant robot and climb into the cockpit to fight. Combat mixes shooter weapons with hands-on brawling, and you can team up with a friend. It arrived on the Meta Horizon Store on October 17, 2026, as an early access release.
How it plays
Your mech is put together from parts you find along the way. Combine different components, tune your weapons and upgrade the build to handle tougher fights. Once you are in the cockpit, you move, grab and punch with your own hands to control the machine.
- Take on huge bosses with the weapons you have equipped.
- Earn new mech parts and upgrade materials from each victory.
- Explore a science-fiction planet with hidden secrets, resources and enemies.
- Customize your weapons and grow stronger over time.
Multiplayer
The standout feature is fusion: two players can merge their mechs into one larger machine and control it together, which means coordinating your movements with your partner. You can also explore and discover new areas with friends. Single-player is supported as well. The developer runs a Discord for playtests and events.
Comfort
Meta rates MechUp as comfortable for most people. It supports seated, standing and room-scale play with controllers.
