Blacktop Hoops

Blacktop Hoops is a streetball game that mixes sports and simulation, from Vinci Games. You can work through a career, play against bots, hang out in online parks or grind ranked pickup games. It came to the Meta Horizon Store on May 16, 2024.

How it plays

Dribbling, shooting and dunking are done with your own arm movements, so crossovers, three-pointers and slam dunks depend on your timing and motion.

• Career: a story campaign where you take on well-known streetball bosses.
• Pickup: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 matches.
• Practice: solo training, plus 2v2 games against AI bots.
• CourtCam: a laid-back mode with a third-person view.
• Modifiers: slow motion, chicken ball, big heads and giant opponents.

There are 8 courts set in places around the world, among them Athens, New York City, Los Angeles and Oakland. You can dress your avatar in more than 600 cosmetic items, from sunglasses to sneakers.

Multiplayer

Online parks are for casual games with friends or strangers, while ranked matches pit you against players of similar skill and count toward global leaderboards that reset each season. You can queue alone or with your squad.

Comfort

Meta rates Blacktop Hoops as comfortable for most people. It supports standing and sitting play with controllers.
