Aim XR

Aim XR is a fast team shooter with arena action from Proto XR. Matches pit two teams of eight against each other, and the game leans social: voice chat reaches players on both teams wherever they are on the map. It came out on the Meta Horizon Store on May 27, 2021.

How it plays

You can play online with other people or stay offline and fight bots, which is useful for practice or when you have no connection. Joining a match is quick, since you can drop into a running server and start playing right away.

Multiplayer

The main mode is 8v8 team play on public servers. If you want a smaller match, you can set up a private server for friends only, or host one over LAN so people on the same home Wi-Fi network can join. Ranked 2v2 matchmaking is the competitive option for players who want a tougher test.

Comfort

Aim XR supports sitting, standing and room-scale play with controllers. Seated players can use a height adjustment slider. When you move with the joystick, tunnel vision is switched on by default to reduce discomfort, and you can turn it off in the comfort settings if you do not need it.
