Apple Vision Pro Travel Case

Overview

The Apple Vision Pro Travel Case is Apple's own carrying case for Apple Vision Pro. It costs $199 in the US. Apple listed it with the first Vision Pro accessories when pre-orders opened on January 19, 2024, and the headset launched in the US on February 2, 2024. When Apple announced the Apple Vision Pro (M5) on October 15, 2025, it confirmed the case was still available at $199.

Design and specs

The case has a ripstop outer shell, a polycarbonate protective structure and a microfiber inner lining. A retractable handle sits on the side. Inside are dedicated spaces for the battery, ZEISS Optical Inserts, the Apple Vision Pro Cover and other accessories. Apple's product photos show the headset packed with its band attached and the battery held by a strap in the lid, plus a small drawstring pouch. The case measures 29.7 cm tall, 22.3 cm wide and 16.5 cm deep (11.69 x 8.78 x 6.5 inches). Apple does not list a weight for the case.

Compatibility

Apple's store page lists the case as compatible with Apple Vision Pro, Apple Vision Pro (M2) and Apple Vision Pro (M5). It is shaped for Apple's headset and is not meant for other headsets.

Availability limits

Apple's US store says the case cannot be delivered to California, Maine or Vermont, and orders shipping to those states will be cancelled. As of late October 2026, the case is still listed on Apple's US and Canadian accessory stores, but Apple's UK and Japan accessory stores no longer list it.

Setup and use

Apple's support page recommends attaching the cover before packing Vision Pro and making sure no loose objects nearby could scratch the internal displays. Disconnect the battery if you will not use the headset for an extended period. If you use ZEISS Optical Inserts, remove them and pack them separately so they cannot detach in transit. Apple names the Travel Case, a soft padded bag or a similar protective solution as suitable for travel, and it advises storing the headset between -20 and 45 degrees Celsius.

Who it is for

The case suits owners who fly or commute with Vision Pro and want one hard-shell bag that holds the headset, battery and inserts together. If the headset stays at home, the included cover and a clean shelf are enough, and the $199 price is hard to justify.
