London VR studio founded in 2018, known for Doctor Who: The Edge of Time, Peaky Blinders: The King's Ransom and Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow.
Maze Theory is a VR and mixed reality game studio in London, England. It was set up in 2018 by games industry veterans including Geoff Heath, formerly of Activision, and Mark Hardy, formerly of PlayStation in Europe.
The studio is known for story-driven games based on well-known licences. Its debut was Doctor Who: The Edge of Time (2019), followed by Peaky Blinders: The King's Ransom (2023) and Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow (2025), which it made with Vertigo Games as publisher.
Its website also lists a VR and mixed reality game based on Andy Weir's Project Hail Mary, planned for late 2026.
