Owlchemy Labs has a new game, and it is not for a VR headset. On October 22, 2026, the Google-owned studio behind Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator announced Hyper Visor, an arcade blaster that will be a launch title for XREAL Aura, the Android XR glasses XREAL sells from $1,279. The game costs $1.99 on the Google Play Store.
What kind of game it is
Hyper Visor plays in the room around you. In the story, a pair of living shades reveals bright fractures in reality hidden in your everyday surroundings. Across eight levels, players fire an energy stream from their hands to shatter targets, take on challenges and beat a boss that guards each sealed rift. Clearing a level seals the rift and restores reality.
Owlchemy CEO Andrew Eiche framed the choice of hardware as a way to reach new players: "XREAL Aura is essentially a pair of shades, which makes XR far more approachable for anyone who may have been hesitant to put on a headset before."
More Owlchemy games on Aura
Hyper Visor will not be alone. According to Road to VR, Owlchemy also plans to bring Job Simulator, Vacation Simulator, Dimensional Double Shift and Inside [JOB] to Aura. Dimensional Double Shift recently added a Single Player Mode and passed one million downloads this year, the studio said.
What it means for players
For a studio best known for headset games, Hyper Visor is a clear sign that Google wants familiar names on Android XR glasses from day one. At $1.99 it is a low-risk first purchase for Aura owners. The catch is the hardware: Aura was still on pre-order when the game was announced, with XREAL promising shipments this year, so nobody can play Hyper Visor until the glasses arrive.
