Tablecraft is a free chemistry-themed simulation and puzzle game with a strong creative sandbox side, from Not Suspicious. You play an eccentric inventor who builds things out of atoms and sells them to fund more experiments. It entered early access on the Meta Horizon Store on January 16, 2025.
How it plays
- Crafting: combine Atomic Blocks in the Pro-Craftinator to make items from 76 recipes. Anything made from Radioactive Blocks becomes radioactive too.
- Nuclear fission: change how many neutrons a block has to start Radioactive Decay Chains and find new isotopes or even new elements. Unstable blocks rattle before they decay.
- Periodic table: 118 elements and over 900 isotopes to discover, with rarer blocks needed for some recipes.
- Test subjects: a mutant pet you created roams the lab, and what you feed it affects what it leaves behind, including polonium.
- Shop: handle requests from visitors to earn resources for more research.
The tone is jokey, but the element and isotope names come from real chemistry. If your play space is small, telekinetic gloves let you grab things from a distance while sitting down.
Comfort
Meta rates it comfortable for most people. The store lists support for playing sitting, standing or at room scale. You play with controllers.
