Pets VR is a pet care simulation game from Actum Games. A dog and a cat live at the Pets Resort, and your job is to keep them happy, fed and rested while you play together. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since November 17, 2021.
How it plays
Day-to-day care is the heart of the game. You look after both animals and spend time with them in a few different ways:
- Petting the dog and playing with the cat.
- Making sure they have snacks and get enough rest.
- Taking relaxed walks through a park.
- Playing mini-games that award special points.
For more of a challenge there is training. You learn particular hand gestures and use them to ask your pet to do tricks. Practicing regularly makes it easier, but a pet can also forget what it learned if you neglect the lessons.
Points you earn can be spent on accessories for you and your pet, so you can slowly build up a collection.
Comfort
Meta has not published a comfort rating for Pets VR. It supports sitting, standing and room-scale play with controllers, which makes it an easy pick for younger players and for people who prefer to stay seated.
