Golf 5 is a golf sports simulation from Lenya Digital, published by AAA Games Studios S.L.. The developer builds its pitch around swing accuracy: its High Precision Control system is meant to read each shot closely and run it through real ball physics instead of arcade rules. It arrived on the Meta Horizon Store on March 25, 2021.
How it plays
The store says Golf 5 was made with The R&A, Me and My Golf and the DP World Tour. You can play rounds of 9 or 18 holes, or quick three-hole Flash matches, using match, stroke or Stableford scoring. It calculates a real handicap and is aimed at both beginners and experienced golfers.
- Four free courses: Dunes, Forest and Tropical, plus Safari once you register.
- Eight premium courses, including the Old Course at St Andrews, Royal Troon, Royal Portrush, Royal County Down, Birkdale, Hoylake, Sunningdale and Valderrama.
- Drone View, dynamic wind and Practice Anywhere on every course.
- A driving range, a putting green, minigolf and a quick mode called WiPp.
- Shot analysis from the Xti Pro launch manager, two free Callaway club sets plus three extra sets, and grip presets for VR golf club accessories.
Multiplayer
You can play alone, against AI or online with friends, including team formats such as Scramble and Fourball. G5 coins, tournaments and a ranking run by the International eGolf Federation add a competitive layer.
Comfort
Meta rates it comfortable for most people. Seated, standing and room-scale play are supported with controllers.
