Breachers

Breachers is a 5v5 tactical shooter from Belgian studio Triangle Factory, the team behind Hyper Dash. It launched on April 13, 2023, on the Meta Horizon Store, SteamVR and the PICO Store, and on the PlayStation Store for PS VR2 on December 20, 2023. Its rounds play much like Rainbow Six Siege and Counter-Strike.

How it plays

Two teams of five face off in short rounds with no respawns until the next round. In the main Bomb Defuse mode, the Revolters guard a bomb and the Enforcers try to disarm it with an EMP. Each round you earn credits based on how you played and spend them on weapons, attachments and gadgets. Enforcers can rappel down buildings, swing through windows and blow open walls, using drones, cloaking devices, flashbangs and breaching foam. Revolters defend with door blockers, trip mines, static field emitters and proximity sensors. There is also a Team Deathmatch mode and a shooting range with timed challenges.

Since launch the game has added new maps, ranked play that began with Season Zero, season passes and cosmetic skins. In 2026 Triangle Factory announced Breachers: Outbreak, a separate co-op zombie game.

Comfort

Meta rates it moderate. Movement is smooth, with an auto-sprint option and snap or smooth turning; at launch there was no teleport and no vignette. Rappelling and fast firefights add a lot of vertical movement. It can be played seated or standing.

What to know before buying

• The standard price is $19.99 on Steam, the Meta Horizon Store and the PlayStation Store, down from $29.99 at launch. Meta lists it with cross-buy.
• Crossplay connects all platforms, including PS VR2. Online play on PlayStation needs PS Plus.
• It runs on Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest Pro, PICO 4 and PS VR2, where it supports adaptive triggers.
• It is a multiplayer game for up to 10 players and uses motion controllers. It is rated PEGI 16 for strong violence, with in-game purchases, and ESRB Teen.
• Voice is in English, with text in more than 20 languages.
