A bow and arrow defense game where you protect villages and castles from waves of Vikings and Giants, helped by fire arrows, ice arrows and a cannon.
Arrows is an archery action and adventure game with tower-defense elements from Aura Studios. You guard villages, castles and sacred places from attackers using your bow, with a few extra tools to help. The SideQuest version is a free demo, distributed through SideQuest, where it was first listed in February 2020.
How it plays
Enemies run toward the entrance of your village or castle, and you have to bring them down before too many get through. Aiming for their oversized heads works best. Waves range from three enemies to more than 20.
Three locations are under attack from Vikings and their Giants: Northern Village, Icy Island and Frozen Valley. Each can be defended at Dawn (7 easier waves), Dusk (10 waves with more foes) or Night (15 long waves of tough enemies, meant for expert archers), for nine levels in total in this pre-release.
- Fire arrows deal double damage and unlock after clearing certain Dawn, Dusk or Night levels.
- Ice arrows freeze enemies in place for 5 seconds and unlock after the hardest level, Frozen Valley by Night.
- Power-ups are picked before a level and appear as torches you can use without limit.
- A cannon is available from the start; it hits hard but needs time to reload between shots.
