Under the new name, the company's focus is bringing premium PC and console games from the wider THQ Nordic catalog to mobile devices, while it keeps selling its existing catalog on PC, consoles and VR headsets. The in-house development team keeps the HandyGames name as HandyGames Studios, and HandyGames co-founders Christopher and Markus Kassulke lead the publishing and development operations.
Store pages now credit THQ Nordic Mobile as the publisher of Townsmen VR, the medieval city builder that HandyGames developed for SteamVR, PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest. The company's press materials point to more than a quarter-century of industry experience carried over from HandyGames, which was founded in 2000.
