Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street is a burglary simulation from 3R Games, published by PlayWay, Titan Gamez. You build a criminal career in an open neighborhood, scouting houses, breaking in and selling what you take. Stealth is the main tool, with action-adventure moments such as police chases mixed in. It was released on the Meta Horizon Store on July 7, 2022.
How it plays
Most jobs begin with planning. You watch a house to learn when the tenants come and go, keep track of guards and security cameras, and pick the right moment to go in. Once inside, you do the actual break-in with your hands.
- Climb walls, break windows, pick locks and hack computers.
- Disable alarm systems, crack safes and find places to hide.
- Steal anything from pickups to sports cars, strip them for parts and customize your own vehicle.
- Keep loot in your trunk, sell it at the pawnshop and pick up new jobs from your garage.
- Get away from the police when a job goes wrong.
The game is single-player only, and the store lists the original Meta Quest among its supported headsets, so it has been around for a while.
