A free wave-based zombie shooter for Quest where you clear infested locations, earn a new weapon after each wave and then retreat underground.
Survive It is a free wave-based shooter from Vikdan Games. The setup is a classic zombie outbreak: you are sent to different locations to clear out an infestation, one wave at a time. The game was first listed on SideQuest in March 2021, and the listing title notes that it is now free.
How it plays
Each round sends a wave of zombies your way, and beating a wave rewards you with a new weapon, so your arsenal grows as the pressure rises. Once every wave at a location is cleared, you head back to an underground base, where you can start another run or simply take a break from the chaos on the surface.
Controls follow the usual Quest controller layout:
- Left thumbstick: walk
- Right thumbstick: snap turn
- Grip buttons: grab weapons and objects
- Triggers: shoot
Comfort
SideQuest gives Survive It a moderate comfort rating. You move by walking with the thumbstick and turn in snaps rather than smoothly. If artificial movement tends to bother you, read up on motion sickness in VR before a long session.
