GORN 2

GORN 2 is an action game from Cortopia Studios, published by Devolver Digital. It follows the original GORN, the VR gladiator game by Free Lives, and sends you into a set of heavenly realms to take on the five sons of the afterlife's ruling god. The fighting is deliberately over the top and very bloody. It came to the Meta Horizon Store on April 17, 2025.

How it plays

Every fight runs on a physics engine, so the force and angle of your swing decide what happens to an enemy. You choose from 35 weapons, many of them new to the sequel, while the arenas add traps to dodge and power-ups that give you supernatural strength. The developer calls it a gladiator simulator, but in practice it is a melee brawler with cartoonish and extremely violent results.

Your opponents are fallen heroes from the first game, and each realm ends with a boss fight against one of the sons' champions.

• Five arenas, each closing with a boss.
• Endless Mode, where you hold out against a nonstop stream of enemies.
• Custom Mode, where you set up your own battles.

Comfort

Meta gives GORN 2 a moderate comfort rating. It is played standing and room-scale with controllers, and fights involve a lot of fast arm movement, so clear plenty of space around you. If artificial movement bothers you, read about motion sickness in VR before long sessions.
