Be A Hamster - Simulator is a simulation and adventure game from Kidloland that lets you play as a hamster in a cute world where everything feels giant. It launched in early access on the Meta Horizon Store on February 18, 2025.
How it plays
You run, climb, explore and interact with the world from a hamster's point of view, collecting treats as you go.
- a playful world with ropes to climb, slides and a giant piano you can play
- a race against the clock through twists and tunnels, with a worldwide leaderboard
- a messy kitchen to explore: tall countertops, open drawers, the inside of the fridge, the oven and a cluttered dining table, while dodging falling utensils
- a night mode in a dark toy room, lit by your hamster's head torch, with hidden treats to find
The developer runs a Discord server for players who want to share feedback.
Comfort
Meta gives the game a moderate comfort rating. It is played standing or in room-scale with controllers. Running and climbing at hamster height means a lot of movement, so take breaks if you start to feel motion sickness in VR.
