TriptoVR - Travel The World, Explore and Relax is a travel and exploration and media app from VR Gorilla that takes you on lifelike virtual tours of cities and landscapes around the world. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since February 29, 2024.
What you can do
You start from a view of Earth seen from space, spin and zoom the globe, and pick a destination. Places named on the store page include:
- a gondola ride along the canals of Venice
- the Eiffel Tower in Paris
- the Sydney Opera House
- the streets of Tokyo and the beaches of Cape Town
- Istanbul, Bali, Prague and Lima
Tours touch on culture, history, modern city life and nature, so it suits armchair travelers, history fans and anyone who wants a calm look at somewhere new. The developer says a new destination is added every week.
Two tours are included for free, and a 7-day free trial opens up the rest of the library.

Meta rates TriptoVR comfortable for most people. It supports sitting, standing and room-scale use with controllers, and the relaxed pace makes it easy to enjoy from a chair.
