Kingspray Graffiti is a Quest app for painting street art with virtual spray cans across 12 locations, alone or with up to four artists online.
Kingspray Graffiti is a creativity and design app from Infectious Ape that turns your controllers into spray cans so you can paint street art in VR. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since October 17, 2019.
What you can do
You pick a wall and paint. There are 12 locations to work in, among them a train yard, an alley, a city rooftop at dusk and a disused subway station. The paint colors are modeled on real Ironlak aerosol cans, so a piece you plan in the headset uses the same palette you would buy for a real wall.
- 12 painting environments
- colors based on the Ironlak aerosol range
- avatar customization: design a custom hat, mask and spray can
- online sessions with artists from around the world
It works as both a sketchbook and a practice space. You can refine your own style or pick up techniques by watching how other painters work.
Multiplayer
The store lists single-user and multiplayer modes. Up to four players can paint together at the same time, and the online community is where you meet other artists to collaborate with.
Comfort
Meta rates Kingspray Graffiti comfortable for most people. It supports standing and room-scale play, with no seated mode, and uses controllers. Since you move along a wall while painting, a clear play area helps.
