The Great Escape: Dragon's Dungeon is a free escape-room adventure from Nelsoft, published by Nelsoft Ltd Co. You work through five challenging rooms to uncover the story of four warrior kings and their fight against evil. It has been on the Meta Horizon Store since September 24, 2021.
How it plays
Progress depends on a mix of exploring, thinking and playing. The store lists fighting among its genres, and at least one of the rooms has you battling your way out instead of just solving it. Each room has its own challenge:
- Prison: break out of your cell.
- Great Room: master what this hall throws at you.
- War Room: fight your way out.
- King's Quarters: reason through the puzzles.
- Dragon's Dungeon: make your final escape.
The store page is short and does not say how long the game takes or how many puzzles each room holds. As a free single-player title, though, it is a low-risk way to try a fantasy escape room in VR.
The rooms run in order, so each one builds on the story of the kings and leads you closer to the dungeon at the end.
