Project Demigod

Project Demigod is a physics-based superhero sandbox from Omnifarious Studios LLC, published by Fast Travel Games. You pick a set of powers and use them to fight across large maps, which puts it somewhere between an action game, a shooter and a physics simulation. It released on the Meta Horizon Store on February 1, 2024.

How it plays

Powers include flight, super strength and super speed, along with original abilities you can swap and combine at any moment. One hand might set off explosions while the other summons a tentacle of water, and you can dash through groups of enemies at speed. Maps range from sprawling cities to large arenas, with missions, enemy waves and huge bosses to take down.

Multiplayer

A social multiplayer mode lets you fly, swing, race or simply hang out with other players. Together you can take on drones, turrets and attack helicopters, though the developer notes that full enemy combat is not yet part of multiplayer.

Comfort

Meta rates Project Demigod as intense. Flight and super speed move you quickly, so players prone to motion sickness in VR should ease in. Sitting, standing and room-scale play are supported with controllers.
