Hide The Corpse is a dark comedy puzzle and physics simulation game from Realcast Inc. Each level hands you a body and a ticking clock: get it out of sight before the cops show up. It came out on the Meta Horizon Store on May 17, 2024.
How it plays
You haul, drag and bend a limp body around rooms where objects bounce and fly, and the physics often works against you. Obvious spots score poorly, so the fun is in finding stranger places, such as inside a time machine.
- Levels: Apartment, Museum, Shipwreck, Garage, a zero-gravity Spaceship and a Diner, each with its own tricks. The store also mentions a DLC level, Gusimir Mansion.
- Hiding spots: six per level. One is enough to move on; finding more earns extra rewards.
- Scoring: based on time remaining, evidence hidden and fingerprints wiped.
- Sandbox spot: a free area for experimenting with interactive objects.
- Skins: unlockable looks such as Disco, Zombie and Superhero.
- Modifiers: a slippery world, a heavier body, a fart mode, double time for relaxed runs and score boosts.
Levels can be replayed to find new spots and improve your approach.
Comfort
Meta gives it a moderate comfort rating, so if you are prone to motion sickness, start with shorter sessions. The store lists support for playing standing or at room scale. You play with controllers.
