Small Madrid studio founded in 2016 that makes the Red Matter sci-fi puzzle adventures, known for their standout visuals on standalone headsets.
Vertical Robot (Vertical Robot S.L.) is an independent studio in Madrid, Spain, founded in 2016 by Tatiana Delgado, Norman Schaar and Iñaki Hernández. The team works only in VR and self-publishes its games.
Its titles are Daedalus (2017), Red Matter (2018) and Red Matter 2 (2022). The Red Matter games are story-driven sci-fi puzzle adventures with a Cold War-inspired setting, and they are often cited for some of the best graphics on standalone Quest headsets. Red Matter 2 is also available on SteamVR, PICO and PlayStation VR2.
After Red Matter 2 the studio returned to a small core team.
