Oisoi Studio
Ghent-based Belgian studio that makes VR and mixed reality tools for artists, best known for the virtual art studio Painting VR and its desktop spin-off Painting PC.
Oisoi Studio is an independent studio based in Ghent, Belgium, founded by Wim Reygaert and Xander Clerckx. It describes its work as virtual and mixed reality experiences for artists and creatives.
Its main title is Painting VR, a realistic virtual painter's studio with paint mixing, a range of brushes and canvases of many sizes. After a Kickstarter campaign and about a year of early access on Quest's App Lab, the full version launched on April 14, 2022 on the Meta Horizon Store and Steam. It is also sold on the PICO Store.
In May 2024 the studio closed a funding round of €450,000 led by ForsVC together with angel investors. At that point Painting VR had sold more than 72,000 copies and earned over $1.1 million in gross revenue, and it was partly developed with support from Meta.
Oisoi has since released other projects, including Wait What's That, a free drawing game for Meta Quest, and in 2026 it brought its painting tools to flat screens with Painting PC on Steam.
