- An internet connection for online play
- A cleared play space
VR is at its best when you share it. These twelve Meta Quest games on the Meta Horizon Store are built for playing with friends, from co-op horror and cave diving to golf, pool, drumming and 32-player battles. This is a curated list built from store data and the developers' own descriptions as listed on 2026-10-30, not from hands-on testing. Player counts and modes below are the ones each listing states. Prices and ratings change often, so check the store page before you buy.
How we picked
We only considered games whose store description clearly offers online play with other people: co-op, versus, lobbies or private matches. Games with only leaderboards or asynchronous challenges did not count. We ranked them by store rating weighted by the number of ratings, then balanced the list across sports, co-op, competitive action and music so there is something for every group. Early-access games were left out, and so were a free casino game built around simulated gambling and two crime-themed sandboxes.
Before you start
- Each friend needs a compatible headset and a Meta account, and paid games show their own price on each store page. Forefront and Battle Talent also list cross-play.
- Most picks need an internet connection for online play. Several also offer public lobbies with strangers; if a younger player uses your headset, set up Family Center supervision.
- Fast games can be intense. Check each comfort rating and see our tips to reduce motion sickness.
- Clear a safe play space. Multiplayer games get loud and lively, and it is easy to forget where the walls are.
